Pwaaparation Update: August 4, 2024

• 2.1.0 UPDATE

The Pwaaparation Study Service is updating to V2.1.0, and with it, releasing a full set of practice materials, comprising of all 4 events (Writing, Debate, Challenge, and Bowl). Some of y'all have seen these materials before-like the Practice Bowl held a few weeks back, or the Challenge practice released earlier-however, they will now all be released, together, on the Pwaaparation website. As of now, everything is live on the website, except for the Challenge Answers and the Collaborative Writing topic sheet preview (for some reason the website is not allowing me to add a preview, hopefully fixed soon.) There is a full 120-question challenge, 67-question bowl, as well as 6 debate and 6 writing topics, open to y'all for preparation. We hope that these practice materials help with your preparation before the Global Rounds!

• ANNOUNCEMENTS

Aside from this, we have a few general announcements regarding things to come in the future of the study service:

- We plan to make another set of these practice materials before the 2024 Tournament of Champions, and as a part of this release, we will hold a full mock WSC round, open to anyone who wants to participate. The details are still unknown for now; however, I will update more when we have more information.

- We plan to repair the Pwaaparation Discord. It has been dead for the past year (even when it was SoCal Scholars), mainly because there wasn't a need for it. However, we do plan to repair and adjust it so it can welcome more people for the practice round. Again, more information on this later.

- Unfortunately, Pwaaparation will likely not release a set of notes for the 2024 curriculum due to time constraints and other personal projects. We apologize, and encourage the use of other good study services, like the Canadian PocketPwaa service.
